Explore Metro Vancouver is an independent local discovery and travel guide. Our goal is to help people discover worthwhile places, experiences, events, food, accommodations, activities, and businesses across Metro Vancouver and surrounding destinations.

Listings, city pages, recommendations, and Editor’s Picks are selected by Explore Metro Vancouver based on editorial judgment and usefulness to visitors.

A business cannot pay to become an Editor’s Pick, to receive favourable editorial coverage, to be included in an editorial ranking, or to be preferentially inserted into a Plan Your Adventure itinerary or nearby recommendation.

Advertising relationships do not guarantee editorial coverage.

Editor’s Pick and Featured labels are editorial designations, not paid placements.

Selections may consider factors such as:

• visitor experience;
• uniqueness or local significance;
• quality;
• popularity;
• seasonal relevance;
• location;
• value to travellers or local residents;
• accessibility of useful information;
• editorial experience or research; and
• relevance to the particular guide, category, or destination.

Not every eligible business or attraction will necessarily be listed or featured. Inclusion or omission should not be interpreted as a definitive assessment of a business or organization.

Editorial selections may change as places, experiences, seasons, and available information change.

Paid placements are identified as Sponsored, Ad, Advertisement, Promoted, or with another clear disclosure where appropriate.

Sponsored placements may receive additional visibility because of a commercial arrangement, but they are kept distinguishable from editorial recommendations.

Payment does not purchase an Editor’s Pick designation or guarantee favourable editorial treatment.

Explore Metro Vancouver may occasionally receive complimentary admission, hosted experiences, media access, products, services, or other benefits from businesses or tourism organizations.

Where a material relationship could reasonably affect how a reader interprets a recommendation or review, we will disclose it appropriately.

Receiving something complimentary does not guarantee favourable coverage, an Editor’s Pick designation, or inclusion on the website.

Some links may be affiliate links, meaning Explore Metro Vancouver may receive compensation if a visitor makes a qualifying purchase or booking.

AI does not purchase or determine editorial placement.

Where AI assists with factual information, our goal is to rely on appropriate sources and avoid presenting uncertain information as confirmed fact. Important information may be reviewed, corrected, or overridden editorially.

AI-generated trip suggestions and recommendations may also depend on user preferences, location, availability, seasonality, and other factors and should not be interpreted as paid rankings unless clearly identified as sponsored.

Businesses and organizations are welcome to submit themselves for consideration.

Submission does not guarantee publication, placement, an Editor’s Pick designation, or favourable coverage.

There is no requirement to purchase advertising in order to submit a business for editorial consideration.

We welcome corrections regarding inaccurate or outdated information.

Businesses, organizations, and visitors may submit corrections through our Contact page.

We may independently verify requested changes before publishing them. Businesses cannot require the removal or alteration of accurate editorial information merely because they disagree with its inclusion or presentation.

Where Explore Metro Vancouver publishes subjective reviews, recommendations, rankings, or editorial commentary, they represent editorial judgment rather than guarantees about the experience every visitor will have.

Experiences can vary, and readers should consider their own preferences, needs, budget, accessibility requirements, and circumstances when making decisions.

We aim to avoid undisclosed financial or personal relationships that could materially compromise editorial independence.
