Advertising and Sponsored Placements

Advertising helps support Explore Metro Vancouver while remaining separate from our editorial recommendations.

Sponsored placements are limited, clearly labelled, and kept distinct from editorial content. Payment does not influence Editor's Picks, organic listing placement, nearby recommendations, or recommendations generated through Plan Your Adventure.

Advertising may include:

• Homepage partner placements — Dedicated placements for sponsors and partners.
• Section sponsorships — Clearly labelled sponsored placements on See, Do, Eat, Stay, Shop, and Events pages. These appear separately from the main listing grid and are designed so they do not displace the page's primary editorial content.
• Banners, popups, and slide-ups — Clearly identified promotional placements available to businesses and organizations, including advertisers that may not otherwise have a listing in the guide. These may link to a page on Explore Metro Vancouver or directly to the advertiser's website.

Sponsored placement does not guarantee editorial coverage, an Editor's Pick designation, preferential organic ranking, or inclusion in recommendations.
